Greg Fischer Takes Office Jan. 3
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville Mayor-elect Greg Fischer described his new transition team as "all the faces of Louisville."On Wednesday, Fischer announced the 41 volunteers who will work in that capacity.Fischer will officially become Louisville's next mayor Jan. 3.
The man who will lead the transition team as chairman is former Metro Council president and current state Rep. Ron Weston, whose term in the General Assembly will expire next month."As you can see, we've assembled an excellent group and I feel certain that we will have a seamless transfer of the power of government," Weston said.
"One of the ways you can define a smooth transition is the citizens themselves will have no disruption of services."
